AWANA

AWANA Clubs
Out for the Summer May 12, 2010
~Look for kick off August 2010~
 
 What is AWANA? It is like a weekly mini-VBS...There are group
times for testimonies, music and praise time, recreation, missions, crafts, and small group scripture times with
Handbook leaders. Children receive awards for their
attendance and learning efforts every week.
They also function within a team to learn team work.
 
AWANA meets every Wednesday night at 6pm to 7:35pm during the school year. We have four clubs: Puggles (age 2), Cubbies (age 3-4), Sparks (K-2nd), and T&T (3rd-6th). 
 
Pray that God will continue to work in the lives of our children and families.  Pray to see if God wants you to help in AWANA this year. 
And pray most of all that God's blessing would remain on this exciting ministry. We see a lot of growth this year and many lives changing through God's living and active Word.

We are so glad you are interested in our AWANA ministry! Why do we have AWANA clubs at First Baptist? Our logo says it all: Because Kids Matter To God. At First Baptist Wetumpka, our kids mean so much to us. We want to offer the very best in Bible-based instruction for our children, and AWANA offers that.
 
AWANA stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed. Our goal is to teach our children the valuable and timeless truths of scripture while making the experience fun and exciting! We truly believe we are “building” the leaders of our church and community for many years to come. Each week, our AWANA clubs involve kids in lots of scripture memory, fun games, and exciting music & missions opportunities. If you have any questions about AWANA, you can call the church office at 567-5191 for more information.
