Building Bridges to People

For our Guests

May we answer your questions?

Many of our guests have similar questions and we've tried to answer the most common ones here. If you have additional questions, we welcome the opportunity to speak or correspond with you. Just give us a call!

When are your services?

Sunday Morning Family Worship:
  • 8:30 AM - Make a joyful noise with our praise team in a more informal service that features contemporary music.
  • 11:00 AM - Our traditional service features old favorites from the hymnal, together with special music from our choirs and a slightly more formal atmosphere.

Sunday Evenings at FBC:
  • 6:00 PM - Sunday evening Pastor's Bible Study meets in our main Sanctuary.  This is an informal service for adults with a message for application to our daily lives.
  • 6:00 PM -- Other Sunday evening activities include Discipleship Training classes (Small groups with a special interest in deeper study of a special topic), SundayNightLive! student worship, and Kids Connection (our weekly Sunday evening event for our elementary aged children).  Ask for the locations of these activities and services.

Wednesday Evenings at FBC:
  • 6:00 PM - Wednesday evening Pastor's Bible Study meets in our main Sanctuary.

What about my kids?

Kids of all ages are VERY important at FBC, and we have a full range of services for your children.
  • Ages birth - 2: Nursery care is available during all regular services, Sunday School and most special events.
  • Preschoolers:
    • Children's Church meets during the latter part of the 8:30 Sunday service. Children arrive and sit with their families and leave during the praise time. Parents are welcome to accompany their children to help them settle in.
    • Age appropriate classes are held during the Sunday School time for 3's, 4's, and 5's.
    • AWANA, meeting on Wednesday evenings, teaches children the importance of scripture in an exciting, fun setting. Puggles (age 2) and Cubbies (ages 3 & 4) are clubs designed just for preschoolers.
  • Children in grades K-6
    • Sunday school meets for each grade during the 9:45 - 10:45 hour on Sunday mornings.
    • Kids Connection meets on Sundays at 6 PM and includes Bible study, games, and music all designed to help children know and love God more!
    • AWANA's Sparks and Truth and Training (T&T) clubs serve the needs of grades K-2 and 3-6, respectively.
  • Teens and College Students - We have an active and exciting program for teens which includes Sunday morning Bridge Groups (small group Bible studies), Student Arts Teams, SundayNightLive! (our Sunday evening worship event for teens), the Xperience! (our Wednesday evening event for teens), and lots of special events and activities, all designed to help students grow in their personal devotion to Jesus Christ.

Do you have adult Bible Study?

ABSOLUTELY! Our Bridge Groups are active, small group fellowships with weekly Bible Study at 9:45 on Sunday mornings. These groups are designed to provide you with a chance to study and grow in God's Word, as well as find a group of prayer partners and friends. Some of our groups have a "target audience," while others have a wide range of ages, interests and life situations. Charles Sylvest, our minister of education, will be happy to direct you to a class after the early service and any of our greeters will assist you if you arrive just for Bridge Groups

Wednesday evenings (August-May) are also devoted to the Bible Study as our Pastor, Dr. James Troglen, leads us in an in-depth study of selected books of the Bible. These studies may span several months and include both spiritual and historical aspects of The Word.

Where do I park?

There is ample parking available on either side of the church. On the east side (closest to the bridge) there is reserved parking for both Senior Adults and Guests. We ask that you respect our handicapped and Senior Adult spaces if you are not, but please feel free to use our guest parking! You can enter from the parking lot into the educational wing or enter through the front doors of the sanctuary.

How do I dress?

There is no dress code at FBC. We are happy to have you, however you choose to dress.

Are you going to make me stand up and wear a badge?

No! During our morning welcome, we will offer you a guest package, but you don't even need to let us know you are there! BUT, if you let us know you're visiting, we'll welcome you with open arms and help you find everything you need to make your time with us special.

Please feel free to explore the rest of our website!

We're glad you dropped in and hope you'll visit with us in person soon.

Won't you sign our guestbook?
