Marta Traylor
Marta has been the wife of Henderson Traylor for 49 years. They reside in Wetumpka and are lifelong residents of Elmore County. They have been blessed with a son, Mark Traylor and daughter, Kay Traylor Bass. Mark and wife Dana are the parents of Haley and Hannah Traylor. Kay and husband Reg are the parents of Kristen and Kala Bass. They are all happy to be Southern Baptists.
Marta began playing the piano at the age of 12 at Antioch Baptist Church. She continued to play there until 1974 when her family became a part of First Baptist Wetumpka. For several years she played for children's choirs, played handbells, and taught a ladies Sunday School Class. She was interim pianist at First Presbyterian, served as pianist at Rushenville Baptist Church for a few years and then felt the need to return to First Baptist to serve there with her family. Several years ago there was a need for a Sunday night pianist at First Baptist. She felt the Lord provided this place for her talents to be used. She also serves as the Church Pianist for the Classic Worship Service at 11:00.

Peggy has a real passion for reading and began working in the church library back in the 80's under the tutelage of the late Lou MacLaren. Following the shut-down of the library for a year or so, Peggy enlisted the help of Faye Jacobs to re-open the library; and with the church's approval, relocated to its present location. Peggy has served as church librarian since 1997 and feels a real calling to this ministry.
